As of April 8, 2021, we are expanding our image processing portfolio with ESPACE 6D GmbH, the specialist for mobile three-dimensional measurement technology and the digitization of industrial and robot systems. We are proud to use the additional know-how to further strengthen our existing competence in turnkey image processing solutions.
The Espace 6D remains within VMT the competence center and development partner of Pepperl+Fuchs SE. All employees will be kept – the previous company headquarters in Herten will remain as a VMT branch under the management of the previous managing director Dr. Adrian Krzizok. We are looking forward to the successful cooperation.
Espace 6D GmbH – previously an independent company within the Pepperl+Fuchs Group, like VMT – brings more than 20 years of expertise in 3D measurement technology, the measurement of automation systems and virtual commissioning to the VMT portfolio. Additionally there is long-standing experience in the digitization of robotic and industrial systems as well as surfaces, large objects such as two aircraft fuselages or rotor blades of wind turbines and buildings.
Espace 6D offers long-standing experience in mobile 3D measurement technology, in 3D measurement and digitization of automation systems as well as extensive technology know-how to a wide variety of industries and customers worldwide. In the automotive industry, Espace 6D supports system operators and planners with modern measurement and calibration technology to increase the accuracy and precision in automated production systems and robot-supported production. In plant engineering, modern 3D scanning technology can be used to generate “digital twins” of objects and plants, which are then available in virtual form for further digital processing. In aerospace engineering and wind turbine construction, the innovative measurement tools from ESPACE 6D make it possible to scan and measure extremely large components such as aircraft fuselages or rotor blades and to calculate precise surface models from the measurement data.
In the field of construction and architecture, ESPACE 6D enables virtual tours in and around buildings as well as the creation of precise models of indoor and outdoor areas for planning expansions and conversions in virtual form, to name one example.
